Hello BSF blog readers,
Reid Goble here from the BSF Pro Team and I am writing this from Venice, Italy where I have landed for the Paralympic Games!
Over the past few years, I’ve been collaborating with the U.S. Para Nordic Ski Team as a guide for Jake Adicoff. Jake races for the Sun Valley Gold Team in Idaho and is a three-time visually impaired Paralympian, soon to be competing in his fourth Games. He has established himself as one of the top athletes in the world in his category, and I am excited to be a part of his team in Milano Cortina 2026.
I began guiding Jake in 2024 at the Para World Cup Finals in Prince George, BC, and continued at World Championships last winter in Toblach, Italy. Since then, we’ve been steadily building toward Milan Cortina.

Another important member of the guiding team is Peter Wolter. Peter and I have been training and racing alongside Jake in preparation for the Games. Following Nationals in Lake Placid, we traveled to Europe for World Cups in Germany and Poland, where Jake won four gold medals in six races.
As many of you might know, Jake is a very fast skier and also a strong racer in the SuperTour circuit. To ensure we are performing at our best throughout the Paralympic schedule, Peter and I will split guiding responsibilities evenly.
The race schedule is as follows:
The current plan is for Peter to guide the sprint and skate 20k, while I will guide the classic 10k and the relay. Over the past two seasons, we’ve aligned our preparation with these specific events and feel confident in the strategy we’ve developed.
The Paralympic Games run March 6–15, with the opening ceremony on March 6 and closing on March 15. Coverage will be available on Peacock.
We’re looking forward to the opportunity to compete on the world stage and represent the team. Thank you for the support, and we hope you’ll tune in!
