freeskiing (Park)

Competitive & FULL-TIME FREESKI (Park) team

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our Comp Team is directed toward athletes who have spent time progressing in the terrain park and have a desire to take their park skiing to the next level.

We offer opportunities to compete regionally and nationally. Our Comp Team offers 1, 2, 3, or 5 day a week training options. Our 1 and 2 day options take place on Saturday and Sunday. Our 3 day program takes place on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, while our 5 day (full-time) program takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays in the winter. Some of what athletes learn could include:

● Off-axis and inverted spins in both directions forward and backward
● Double flips/spins
● Spinning on and off of rail and box features
● Strategically planning competition runs

We provide a whole-athlete approach, including nutrition, sports psychology, and a supportive team atmosphere. Team transportation provided for select sessions/events.

DRYLAND: Fall dryland training provides conditioning and strength training. This part of our sport is equally as important as our on-snow part. Strength training and conditioning help prevent injuries and keep you at peak performance. Dryland also offers opportunities to play games and hang out with the team.

CAMPS: Trampoline sessions and water ramp camps are available, so that
skiers can safely progress through mastering new tricks. We use both Bridger Bowl and Big Sky to train during the season.

Freeskiing has options for U.S. Ski & Snowboard and USASA competitions.

BASE-LINE CONCUSSION TESTING

Baseline concussion testing recommended but not required. In the event an athlete does have a head injury, having baseline testing results on file allows your doctor to evaluate the injury and more accurately determine when an athlete can return to activity. Click here for info.
