Summer dryland training is designed to keep athletes fit while having fun. We hike, bike, run, and play organized games (like soccer and frisbee). With BSF's professional coaches, you'll explore beautiful mountain trails and create new adventures.
Athletically, it helps develop cardiovascular capacity, endurance, flexibility, strength, and balance. But it's also about enjoying our environment and developing team-building skills, confidence, and friendships.
All kids are welcome to join us. (Soccer players, runners, outdoor enthusiasts, etc.) No specific ski skills are necessary to take part, and dryland training benefits all types of athletic and outdoor pursuits. No prior fitness levels requirements. In other words, as long as you want to move and enjoy the outdoors, COME JOIN US.
Locations and activities will vary; training schedules and meeting locations will be sent via email each week. Locations include but are not limited to: Bozeman Creek/Sourdough Canyon, Hyalite Canyon, Triple Tree, Mt. Ellis, South Cottonwood, Sypes Canyon, and Lindley Park.
Running shoes, workout clothes, water belt, snacks (such as energy bars), mountain bike, helmet, ski poles (classic skiing length).

Get outside and hike, bike, run, stretch, and play games. We'll explore some of the area's best trails, build our strength and endurance, and enjoy the outdoors. No ski skills necessary. Any child is welcome. We'll build fitness throughout the summer (so don't worry about fitness levels coming into it).

June 7-15, 2019
(location TBD, depending on snow conditions. Either Bend, OR, or Beartooths, MT)
For: U16+ skiers (ages 14+)
Join us for a fun week of training in the mountains. We'll spend the mornings skiing on snow, and in the afternoons we'll pursue other activities such as swimming, biking, soccer, running, etc.
Includes; transportation, trail pass, lodging and coaches expenses.
Beartooth Mountains, MT
For: ages 12+
Spend three days and two nights camping in the Beartooth Mountains. We'll participate in the Beartooth Run 5k/10k at the top of Beartooth Pass (at 10,000 ft.). Enjoy camping with the team and we'll have time for extra activities in the area on Sunday.
Cost: $TBA (for the BSF component; race entry is separate)
August 4-15, 2019
Canmore/Banff, British Columbia
For: ages 12+
Spend 12 days in beautiful Canmore, Alberta, Canada. (Includes ten days of Nordic-specific dryland training and two days of travel.) Most days we have two practices a day with varied intensities and goals. We'll run, rollerski, bike, play games, and take some spectacular hikes. Athletes stay in condo-type lodging, and meals are prepared either by a professional chef, individually, or in small groups. There is time for rest and free time to choose activities. A BSF U14-specific group coach will accompany U14 athletes to the camp.
Skate and classic roller ski equipment. A valid passport to travel into Canada.
Cost estimate for camp: (approximately) $1200
Registration will open for this camp once travel costs have been finalized.
