Hey folks! This is Foss Kerker from Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is my second summer of training in Bozeman with the man Andy Newell. During the winter I spend my time studying and skiing at Colby College in Waterville, Maine where I will be a senior this year. Training has been pretty sweet so far and the group is awesome. It’s been nice this year having a few extra faces around with the pro team showing all the college kids what’s up.

We find ourselves in a bit of an intensity week this week. We kicked it off with a track workout where we were training to be “athletic”. It involved a lot of quick agility drills and it brought me back to my ball sport days. On Wednesday we had classic intervals and strength. After being athletic on Tuesday and intervals on Wednesday I was pretty sore and thankful for an easy distance day on Thursday.

On Monday and Thursday evenings I spend my time coaching some 4th graders mountain biking for Bozeman Youth Cycling. This Thursday we rode at Crosscut and saw a young black bear on our ride which was pretty exciting. It was so exciting that my group of 9 year olds sang about it for the rest of the ride. Coaching mountain biking this summer has been a really fun way to get involved in the community here in Bozeman and get some fun recovery rides in. I’m excited to get after it for these last few weeks here in Bozeman!
