The Pro Team just got back from our Fall training camp in Park City. We were able to see many familiar faces and lay down a hard effort at the end of the week with two rollerski races. The ski season hasn't officially started, but in this blog I will be handing out awards. I set out to rank the best collegiate and professional Nordic ski suits in America (using suits from the 2025/26 season).
To ensure complete objectivity (and to eliminate personal backlash), I brought in a third-party judge with absolutely no affiliation to the ski world, any collegiate program, or any professional team. This judge has no preconceived opinions, does not know of any school reputations, and has no knowledge of what typical race suits even look like.
Every suit was evaluated on three scientific criteria: color, design, and overall vibe. I want to recognize that each team has a unique suit that took considerable time and thought to design. These rankings are not meant to offend… rather, I wanted to see which suit designs stood out to someone completely outside the ski world. The suits used in this ranking were the most recent suit used by each team.
Without further ado:
Top 3 RMISA:
University of Denver - " LOVE the overall design of this suit. They hopped on the camo and mountain trend but this is by far the only suit I have seen look good. City line was good touch if only the mountains were that close to Denver in real life. " GO PIOS
University of Utah - “Overall this is a very sleek looking design and photographs very well. A bit lacking in creativity. Can really tell you guys like the SWIX"
Montana State University - “I just really like this suit. Go Cats! The details are epic.”
Top 3 EISA:
Bowdoin College - “The dots could give you trypophobia, but it looks sick. Smallest logo challenge. Cute polar bear."
Colby College - “A little bit basic , but it always looks good and is classic. Could give us more.”
Harvard University - “Street idea is fun and is a unique addition, but it giving Spiderman. Team needs to invest in some white base layers."
Top 3 CCSA:
University of Green Bay - “Similar to Colby and could be more unique, but somehow they made black and green work. I am impressed.”
College of St. Scholastica - “For a Midwest school the color contrast is good, but they blend into the snow too much.”
Michigan Technological University - “I don't love the yellow, but they can't do much about that. The Vatican City flag is on your knees.”
Top 3 Pro Teams:
SVSEF - "The suit is a lot but somehow it works really well. It's kinda giving gender reveal, but I'm here for it. "
Team Birkie (SNO) - “City line was great idea, but I only just realized that's what you guys were trying to do because I had to zoom in to see it. Great looking suit though."
BSF Pro Team - “It looks like they are wearing high socks, however the red, white, and black have great potential.”
Top 3 Overall:
University of Denver
University of Utah
Montana State University
In conclusion, the RMISA circuit swept the podium in both the collegiate and the pro world. And Denver took the win. What can I say, west is best. Anyway, suits aside, good luck to everyone in their final fall training preparations before winter. I am excited to see all the new suits this year and am looking forward to watching everyone ski fast.
