We have spent the past week in Bend, OR for an on snow training camp. There is no better way to start off May training than in Bend with the full team. We have three new team members; Reid Goble, Graham Houtsma and Mariah Bredal. They are great and I think they will be fun additions to the team. I have been lucky enough to grow up with Mariah Bredal and we have been able to race and run in the mountains our whole lives together. 

Bend is a good way to start off May because we get to be on snow, log some good hours and work on technique before the snow really melts. I think the value of on-snow training is huge and I am thankful we are taking advantage of it. Especially for classic skiing, working on skiing klister and zeros is super beneficial to our technique compared to roller skiing. 

Bend was an awesome mix of quality training, good intervals and good spring times. Mariah, Reid and I also just graduated college so it is a great way to jump into the real world. 

We celebrated Norway’s independence day, May 17th, with a traditional cake and salmon bowls.

Andy, Reid, Simon, Finn and I surfed the wave, on a chilly day. Most of the boys braved the wave without a wetsuit.
