Happy summer!

Here are details on registration for the upcoming ski season:

August 15: registration opens for all Development (Devo), Competitive (Comp) and adult programs. These programs have options that begin in September, for those interested in fall dryland training.

September 7: (9am) early registration opens for all returning skiers in the Intro programs.

September 9: (9am) Registration opens for new skiers in the Intro programs.

Important reminders:

Physicals: Note that physicals are required of all athletes that are 12 years of age and older in Alpine, Nordic, or Freestyle/Freeskiing/Snowboarding. (This is not required for any Intro programs.) Doctors offices are backed up, so we advise planning ahead and getting an appointment now. You will need to have them fill out the BSF Pre-participation Physical Form.

Note Early-bird pricing. Most programs have early-bird pricing. After the early-bird date (Nov 1 or 15, depending on the program), prices will increase. Why? Having most enrollment completed by November 15 gives BSF the needed time to hire and train the appropriate number of coaches and allows us to deliver ideal coach-to-skier ratios.

Price increases. For those that missed it in our July newsletter, program prices have increased. We explain why here. It helps us pay coaches a more competitive wage and ensures that we have an appropriate reserve to cover capital expenses and unexpected times.

Scholarships. We are increasing need-based scholarships this year. Application deadline is October 15.

Payment plans. Payment plans are automatically available for programs over $1500. You can choose payment plan at checkout. (*If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us. We'll work something out!)

Credit card fees. There will now be a 3% credit card processing fee added to payments paid by credit card. However, you will now have the option of paying via electronic bank transfer to avoid that fee. Last year BSF paid nearly $40,000 in credit card processing fees. That's money we have to fundraise. This change will allow us to put fundraising dollars to better use in your programs.

New to BSF? We use SkiClubPro as our registration system. First-time account users will need to: 1) create an account for their household and go through the entire Account Wizard setup. 2) Then add a BSF membership to your cart. 3) Register participants for their program.
