For the first time in several years, Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) will be represented at the U.S. Alpine National Championships. Not just one, but two Bozeman skiers—Callie Dahlberg and Max Larimer—qualified for the championships based on points awarded in qualifier races throughout the season.

The U.S. Alpine Tech Championships will take place March 23-26 at Waterville Valley in New Hampshire, and will include members of the current U.S. Ski Team, as well as the top skiers who qualified throughout the country. BSF will provide both Larimer and Dahlberg with merit scholarships to help with travel costs, and BSF Alpine Head Coach Roger Bay will go along to provide support at the pair’s first-ever national championship.

“To have two in the club qualify is a pretty big deal,” says Coach Bay, who has also worked as a coach for the U.S. Ski Team.

Max Larimer

Max Larimer, a U19 skier, is a junior at Bozeman High School, and has had a fantastic season. “He’s been a good skier for a long time,” says Coach Bay. He finished in the top ten at the Western Regional Championships and even had the third-fastest run in one race. Larimer will stay on at Waterville Valley to also compete in the Alpine Junior National races immediately following the main championship.

Callie Dahlberg

Callie Dahlberg is a senior at MSU and has skied on BSF’s Post-Grad team for the last four years. “Callie came here from Stevens Pass, Washington,” Coach Bay explains. “She was a middle-of-the-pack skier, and she’s just gotten better every year. She stays focused and juggles skiing and her school work.”

Congrats, Callie & Max!
