BSF Freestyle hosted a regional contest at Bridger Bowl February 2-4, 2024.  Seventy two athletes from around the country traveled to Bridger Bowl for 2 mogul contests and a dual mogul contest, including skiers from New Hampshire, New York, Utah, Idaho and our local Montana athletes. With Freestyle events across the country getting canceled due to weather issues and low snowfall, registration filled exceptionally fast.  Bridger Ski Foundation’s Freestyle team worked closely with Bridger Bowl to provide a great venue and a successful event on Boot Hill.

For the women on Saturday, local BSF athletes (and sisters) Makayla Papke and Meg Papke went 1-2 overall. On the men’s side, Ian Tuttle landed his first podium of the season, getting first in his age group and 3rd overall.

On Sunday, there was a one-run mogul event that seeded the duals bracket for that day.  Makayla Papke was the overall winner for the women and Oliver Lacey and Ian Tuttle finished 4th and 5th overall for the men.  For the duals, Makayla Papke ended up 3rd overall, and on the men's side Oliver Lacey finished 4th overall.
