Familiar faces will be stepping up into leadership roles this coming season on the Freeride, Freeskiing, and Snowboarding teams at the Bridger Ski Foundation. BSF is excited to have these seasoned coaches returning to lead the teams.
Three returning coaches will move into leadership roles with the fast-growing Freeride (Big Mountain) Team.

Morgan Croke, who joined the BSF Freeride staff last season, will take over as the Freeride Team Manager and serve as a head coach on the hill. “Summer may have just begun but I am so excited to get back on the hill. I have loved being welcomed into the BSF family and I'm looking forward to lots of fun days on the hill with the athletes and helping to further develop the culture of the BSF Freeride Team. Hoping our rainy start to summer (with snow even!) turns into a cold and snowy fall and winter.”
Morgan grew up in the mountains of Vail, Colorado, where she developed a life long love of skiing and playing in the outdoors. She moved to Bozeman for school in 2017 where she earned her degree in Cultural Studies and Photography at MSU. Morgan first found her passion for coaching when she started her women's skateboarding coalition 'The Darling Shred' in 2018, and eventually began coaching freeride for Ski and Snowboard Club Vail during the winter of 24/25. In the off season Morgan loves skateboarding, trail-running, and spending time by the river. This will be her second season with BSF and she can't wait to help this program and the freeride community continue to grow.
Meanwhile, Morgan Yelland and Lukas Bergsten will team up with Croke as Freeride Team Head Coaches.

Morgan Yelland hails from Minneapolis Minnesota. He has been snowboarding for 20 years and he began coaching with BSF in 2023. Morgan loves playing music and mountain biking when he's not on his snowboard.
Lukas Bergsten grew up in Eagle, Colorado, and he LOVES skiing. He climbs and bikes in the summers and skis in the winters, escaping to the mountains as often as possible. He gets to ski at Bridger Bowl, a place that pushes him every day. He joined the BSF staff in 2024.
Lukas says, “I am looking forward to seeing this Freeride program continue to grow and flourish into a community where athletes from a variety of backgrounds come together to demonstrate both their dedication to competing and their support for their peers around them. This team has always been about supporting each other in all aspects of our lives, not just skiing, and I really look forward to continuing that culture!”

Josh Lucas will return as the Snowboarding head coach. “There has been a spike with snowboarding, including growing interest from female riders, and I’m excited to be leading the charge with our park riders,” says Josh. “Overall, the last couple of years have given us the perfect training ground to explore new tricks and find our own style on our boards. I am beyond stoked to start back up on hill!”
Josh notes that the last few years coaching with BSF has “really filled my cup … and I feel very grateful to be a part of the BSF community.”

Jeremy Emmer, who has been with BSF since 2020, will be the Freeskiing Head Coach. “I'm excited to be back and part of such a passionate group that continues to grow and shape the Freeski culture we have here in Bozeman. The BSF community is built around shared love of skiing, supporting one another, and helping athletes grow both on and off the snow. I'm looking forward to working alongside an outstanding coaching staff to continue to create an environment where athletes can push themselves, have fun, and develop a lifelong passion for the sport.”
Jeremy grew up competitively skiing in Jackson, Wyoming, where he raced for a while then switched over to freestyle/freeride starting in middle school. He started coaching for BSF with the development team for two seasons, and then coached the Freeski team before becoming the Freeskiing Head Coach in 2026. He has also filmed with the Entourage crew in Bozeman. Jeremy also spends time fly fishing, mountain biking, and trail running. He has a degree in environmental science from MSU.
With a staff of 140 at the height of the winter season, BSF is already making hires for the 2026-27 season and is looking to hire assistant coaches across Nordic, “All Things Free” and Alpine. View openings here.
