Avalanche Education Opportunities

November 6, 2020
by:

Avalanche terrain is all around Bozeman, and BSF encourages all our athletes (yes, even Nordic) to take advantage of these avalanche education opportunities.

Parents, even if your kids aren't entering "avalanche" terrain yet, we encourage you to review some of this material and begin the education process. Knowing the basics of avalanche safety is an incredibly important part of being a skier (even if you're "just" skiing at Bridger Bowl).

FREE ONLINE WEBINARS WITH THE BRASS FOUNDATION

Anyone can participate in this (and you must complete this webinar to participate in the GNFAC field session).

Dates and times for the 90-minute BRASS Webinar:

Thursday, Nov. 12     7 - 8:30 pm MST
Thursday, Nov. 19     5 - 6:30 pm MST
Thursday, Dec. 3       5 - 6:30 pm MST

*Part of the BRASS webinar includes viewing Off Piste, a film about two U.S. Ski Team skiers who died in an avalanche. This does contain a graphic reenactment of the accident. You can preview the movie HERE, if you'd like.
