Avalanche terrain is all around Bozeman, and BSF has teamed up with the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center to provide avalanche awareness training. BSF encourages all our athletes (yes, even Nordic) to take advantage of these avalanche education opportunities:
BSF is providing this for free. The classroom portion of this (December 27) is open to anyone and we encourage all athletes to attend. There are no enrollment limitations for this day. Come, learn. We'll bring the pizza. The fieldwork day at Bridger Bowl (December 28) has limited enrollment and is open to U14 and older. You must attend the classroom portion on December 27 in order to participate in the fieldwork on the 28th.
