Open to snowshoers, walkers, runners, bikers, and skiers, the Highland Glen Winter Multi-Use Trail is a loop-connector that runs from the south end of Highland Glen Nature Preserve across the bottom of the coulee. Climbing onto agricultural land high-overlook (East Ridge), the trail then descends back down into the hollow of the preserve, connecting to established year-round trails and the Painted Hills parking area.

The trail is two-way, un-groomed, and can be accessed via Painted Hills parking (best) or from the Hospital area and New Hyalite subdivision, via the Highland Ridge Connector Trial.

On-leash dogs only & please use care when crossing groomed ski trails. Expect to see deeper snow and drifting after snowstorms- once things get kicked, shoed, skied, pawed, & ridden-in, travel will be easier.

Thanks to Bozeman Health and GVLT for their partnership in creating this trail!
