Happy February!!

This past weekend's snowfall made for soft conditions at the Sunset Hills JNQ races on Saturday, but near-perfect skiing on Sunday as things were skied-in and had a chance to set up overnight. Lots of smiling racers- Huge thank you to the community for pulling together to support this event, wearing masks and staying safe.

We were able to get most venues rolled/compacted on Saturday evening, and will make the rounds again early this week to smooth things out and set tracks where possible. It's still a thin snowpack in town, but looking much better.

Higher-up, the snowpack continues to build, with Hyalite groomed on Sunday (by the USFS), and Sourdough groomed to the Moser parking area. The BSF grooming crew will be up Sourdough again this week.

A friendly reminder for all to please play it cool in the higher-traffic, mixed-use trails like Sourdough and Hyalite. While dogs are not allowed on the in-town skiing venues, they are allowed in Sourdough and Hyalite. Please slow down and give space while passing hikers and other skiers.

Read "Trail Etiquette on Winter Trails" for more information on multi-user trails.
