We had a steady east wind over night, which was both good and bad. The good part is that much of Sunset Hills got a fresh layer of snow drifted over the trail which groomed out quite nicely. There are new classic tracks and a nice skate lane there now and the skiing should be excellent. The bad part of the wind is that some thin areas were scoured quite heavily, including much of Highland Glen. I did what I could to clean up Highland but overall it is too thin to justify much grooming there until we get more snow.
There wasnt any new grooming at Bridger Creek, we will get back to that venue tomorrow to get it ready for weekend skiing.
The stampede of runners at both Highland Glen and parts of Sunset Hills continues. If you see runners on the ski trail, politely tell them to run elsewhere. Not only is running not permitted on our in town trails, these runners have been running either in the middle of the trail or on the classic track, a text book display of poor etiquette. Please help spread the word to any runner friends that running on the trails at Highland Glen, Sunset Hills, and Bridger Creek is not allowed, even if they are just using a short section of ski trail to connect to summer trails, it is not allowed. We need all the help we can get on this. Do your best to be a community ambassador.
