Sunday Update

Well, the forecast snow didnt materialize in the valley but the skiing is still good! I did a quick lap around Highland Glen this afternoon and while there are a couple funky spots, as a whole, the PB was able to turn the crusty snow into what is nearly packed powder. The classic skiing should be nice as well since fresh tracks were set. I recommend using a binder for hard wax.

Sourdough was groomed to the Wildhorse Saturday night and should be skiing well, though I suspect it is getting rough lower down again.

The Forest Service also groomed nearly all of Hyalite today (Sunday). The only spots they missed were the trail below the dam and the upper 4 way to the Maxey Cabin road. Friends of Hyalite is advising extreme caution on the Hyalite road: it is very icey and AWD and 4WD are recommended!

We will get back onto all our trails either tomorrow morning or tomorrow night to clean things up again.

p.s. The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is coming up this next weekend. Awesome films, and all proceeds support BSF, too!
