The dry spell continues but the skiing in town is still very good! In light of races at Sunset Hills on Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th, we are trying to protect our thin base by grooming as little as possible. The snow has just slightly transformed so morning skiing may be a little weird but conditions will improve as the day warms.
Sourdough got a touch up to Wildhorse junction last night, including new classic tracks.
Hyalite was also groomed yesterday and tracks were set on the Blackmore Loops, West Shore trail, Sleeping Giant, Palisades to Maxey cabin, and the Wildhorse/Lick Creek loops. there are a handful of thin spots scattered around but overall cover is good. Temperatures were very variable while we were out; some areas were cold and powdery all day, other areas were very warm and the snow had transformed and was wet.
Bridger Creek remains good skiing for both skate and classic.
Cheers!
