mid week skiing

Sunset Hills and Highland Glen have both been groomed and the drifts beaten into submission. Sunset Hills picked up enough drifting snow that it is mostly packed powder conditions. Highland Glen groomed out better than expected, enough of Friday's snow clung to the crusty old snow underneath to leave a decent surface to work with. Classic tracks are thin and crumbly in places though.

I skied up Sourdough and it is getting firm but still skis remarkably well. Again, the snow from Friday bonded well to the ice and it is not yet scraped off and still packed powder skiing. The further you go, the better it gets!

The small loops and Bridger Creek were groomed today as well and since those are just snowmobile operations, I anticipate there being some messy drifts in places that the sled couldnt break up. Skiing should still be good, but it wont be as good as the other venues.
