It has been busy on the trails & great to see so many smiling faces!
In late November/early December, we made quite a bit of snow during a dry & very warm start to the season. The surprise 8-10” of natural snow mid- December was just enough to ski everywhere and start grooming, but not enough to shut things down with snowmaking (Our goal is to have a skiable loop that will withstand extended warm & low snow periods).
HUGE thank you to the volunteers that have helped lay down a durable base of snow, roll hoses, and offered great company during the early morning and late evening shifts!!
We’ve been fortunate to get just enough natural snow at the right time this season to keep grooming at all of the in-town venues. We’re also just 0.2k shy of completing a 1.5 k snowmaking loop & will plan to run the snow guns again to finish things out.
Grooming outlook:
Snow dependent, our plan for grooming is to follow the weather and to try to stay on top of conditions: Sunset Hills 4-6 times per week, Highland Glen 3-4 times per week, Bridger Creek & Sourdough 3 times per week. Hyalite is groomed by the USFS (we occasionally assist), usually once a week.
