We decided to take advantage of this October snowfall and packed down the loop at Sunset Hills this weekend. On Sunday, we knocked down drifts from Saturday, re-packed & combed everything.
Conditions are soft, and will be drifted in places.
Pre-season conditions and sub-surface hazards exist:
Please use caution- especially around the new snowmaking pump house and at the bottom of the sledding hill. Crews will continue to remove, mark or cover these as we get more snow and move into the regular season. (We haven't started making snow yet, but you can learn about the new system and donate to the project HERE.)
All other venues in the Community Nordic Trails system remain ungroomed right now.
Please note: grooming does not start in Sourdough or Hyalite until December 2 (after the end of the general hunting season.)
And it's important that we all stay off the Bridger Creek Golf Course for now (skiing or grooming too early can damage their greens). Thanks!!
While the outdoors has become our "safe place" in many ways this year, please remember to keep your distance/give your neighbors space on the trails. (For safety AND enjoyment.)
Have fun out there!
