UPDATE 1/8: Sunset Hills and Highland Glen were regroomed and should be very nice skiing. Anything that has been recently groomed has not seen that much transformation in the snow and should be decent skiing still, especially once the day warms up. Please use caution as trails get firmer with these warm days and cool nights.

First off, thanks to all the volunteers and others who helped make sit ski nationals possible at Sunset Hills this weekend.  The event went very smoothly and was very fun to watch and be a part of!

Tonight, the Dog Loop and Sac Middle School loop were groomed and should be decent skiing. Like everything else, they will be firm and fast. Please be very careful on the dog loop, especially in the morning when it is likely to be the firmest. Sourdough will get another touch up in the morning. The first mile is extremely icey but conditions improve rapidly above that. Please use extreme caution in the lower reaches of Sourdough! There are too many people and the trail is too firm to be taking those last downhills to the trail head even remotely fast!

Sunset Hills and Highland Glen will be on the firm side in the morning but are still good skiing. Bridger Creek is firm and fast and will likely be icey in the morning.

It looks like a couple warm days before some weather mid week. We'll see what we get.
