Last week, our team loaded up and headed north to Fairbanks, AK, for the first period of SuperTour races. Not long after arriving, we learned that race organizers had to move the events to Anchorage because of the extreme cold in Fairbanks. While it wasn’t the plan we expected, we made the most of our quick stop there. Coach Andy woke up early to get groceries and surprised us with a pancake breakfast, and we finished the day with a long, relaxed ski at Birch Hill.

We just wrapped up our on-snow glacier camp on the Haig Glacier outside of Canmore, Alberta, and what a trip it was. We skied a lot, ate a lot, and watched a lot of Lord of the Rings in our downtime (I’m pretty sure we could quote half the movie by now).

Recently, the Pro Team hosted 18 U14 and U16 skiers from all over the West as the first BSF Youth Camp. It was such a great experience as an athlete to take part in helping to lead a camp like this. It is always so fun to help younger skiers to improve and try to inspire younger athletes love for skiing.
