Bridger Ski Foundation’s Scott McLaughlin repeated as the age-group Jr. National Champion in Big Air during the 2016 U.S. Junior National Championships in Sun Valley, Idaho. Vay O’Brien, the youngest female competing in freeskiing, also took gold as the F11 Slopestyle National Champion.

Top athletes from around the country converged in Sun Valley to compete head to head, with multiple events. Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) had nine athletes qualify for Freeskiing (slopestyle and big air) and Freestyle (moguls) events.

In 2015, McLaughlin was both the age group and overall Big Air champion. This year, he won his age group and was runner-up overall, among all ages.

In the mogul events, BSF’s Phillip Kirk had a great day and finished 6th overall in Dual Moguls.
