Guided O’Dell Spring Creek Fly Fishing Trip

Calling all anglers and nature lovers. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to fish one of Montana’s most unique spring creeks in the Madison Valley, just south of Ennis, Montana. Two people will gain access for an exclusive day on The Granger Ranches' portion of O’Dell Spring Creek, an important tributary to the Madison River. Very few days are made available annually to fish the restored headwaters of this stream and its miles of varied channels, ponds and wetlands.  Great vistas, bird life and plentiful trout await the winning bidder!

Granger Ranches has been privately held by the Granger/Laszlo family for 80 years and for the past decade they have collaborated with conservation partners such as the Trust for Public Land, Montana Land Reliance, Northwestern Energy, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, and The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to restore this ecosystem to its current mosaic of wetlands and spring-fed streams. This nationally recognized conservation effort has resulted in increased spawning, improved water temperatures, a tenfold increase in bird species and emerging wetland plant communities unique to this floodplain. Rainbow and brown trout up to 25 inches can be caught by savvy anglers. Ranch owner Jeff Laszlo has offered to provide a tour and project history as part of this day if so desired.

Enjoy a delicious stream-side picnic lunch and the expert angling experience of  BSF Nordic skier and fisherman Liam Diekmann, your friendly fishing guide for the day! Also includes a dinner at the Gravel Bar in Ennis--the perfect ending to a wonderful adventure.

Available June 15 to August 30, 2018. (Exact dates will need to be coordinated with donor).
