BSF alum Jack Price skied on the BSF Freeski Team for four years, and then returned to BSF as a coach for another season. We caught up with him to learn more about his film production company, Entourage, and his latest film project, which is in the fundraising phase for post-production.

BSF: For those who don’t know, give us a quick snapshot of your ski career:

JACK: My first season with BSF, 2015, I won nationals in Big Air, and my coach Pat Gillis and I toured around the U.S. competing in Nor Ams (North American cups) for a few years. I also placed 3rd at the slopestyle nationals 2017. Since then I have started making ski films, this one being Entourage’s third movie.

BSF: How did your time at BSF impact you?

JACK: My time at BSF shaped who I am today. Through meeting so many inspirational people, riding the high highs and low lows of competing, and having the opportunity to coach the next generation of skiers from Bridger, my experience at BSF has given me more life skills than any other program or organization that I have been a part of.

BSF: How did you get into filmmaking?

JACK: I got into filmmaking through skiing. When I was younger I really wanted to get a sponsor so I taught myself how to edit my ski videos and just fell in love with the process.

BSF: And now you have a film production company, Entourage. Tell us about that.

JACK: Entourage is a ski production company that I started in 2020. It’s a Bozeman-based crew of local skiers who all come from different backgrounds in skiing. This season, we’ve been working on our third film, called From Us to You

Each year we improve on the filmmaking/skiing side things, and each year brings about new challenges and amazing life experiences. The whole crew loves what we do and we feel super stoked that we get to share projects like this to our fellow ski community in Bozeman.

Our latest project is last year’s film, YAKTV (You Already Know The Vibes), which can be found on our YouTube channel.

BSF: We hear you have a campaign on IndieGoGo right now. How can folks help?

JACK: What we’re looking for is to have the greater Bozeman community help fund our post-production process this fall. We are all either students at MSU or working full time so any help that we can get from the BSF family would be hugely appreciated. As a crew that is trying to represent Bozeman, I feel honored that a community such as BSF can help our production process like this.
