2012/2013 BSF FREESTYLE PROGRAMS

BSF Freestyle programs are available for skiers of all ages and abilities!

 

NOTE: ALL PROGRAM INFORMATION INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DATES, LOCATIONS, TIMES, AND ACTIVITIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND REVISION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR. PROGRAM COSTS FOR THE 2011/12 SEASONS ARE SET AS STATED BELOW. 

Freestyle Age Classes for 2011/12 (determined by age as of December 31, 2012)

  • Senior ( age 19+, born in 1992+)
  • J1 (17-18, ‘93-’94)
  • J2 (15-16, ’95-’96)
  • J3 (13-14, ’97-’98)
  • J4 (11-12, ’99-2000)
  • J5 (9-10, ’01-’02)
  • J6 (7-8, ‘03-’04)
  • J7 (5-6, ’05-’06)

BSF Freestyle offers Youth, Junior, Post-Graduate, Physical Conditioning & Training Camp Programs

TEAM ADDITION OPTIONS:

Winter Wednesdays (Mogul Specific):  (14 Wednesdays) Training midweek for athletes who are not on the Full Time Team at Bridger Bowl but currently hold a team program membership.  Training is on Bronco Face.  This option is available for everyone that is not on the Full Time Team. 

  • Winter Wednesdays Cost:  $205
  • Training Begins Dec. 12, 2012  and ends on April 10, 2013 [(14 Wednesdays)]
  • USSA license is required
  • Hard Shell (no soft eared) CE approved or equivalent helmet required
  • BSF Membership, Liability Release, and Medical release required

Summer Trampoline Sessions:  (22- 2 hour sessions) Tune up your newest tricks or polish up the ones you have in your bag.  This is an opportunity during the summer months to work on your trampoline skills.  Trampoline sessions are one day a week for a 2-hour session.  This option is available for everyone that is not on the Full Time Team or not a team member.

  • Summer Trampoline Cost:  $395.00
  • 1st half session (11 Sessions):  $220.00
  • 2nd half session (11 Sessions): $220.00
  • Training Begins June. 22, 2011 and ends on October 11, 2012
  • USSA license is required
  • BSF Membership, Liability Release, and Medical release required
  • Baseline testing is required

 

Christmas Camp:  This camp takes advantage of the winter break from school and gives athletes an opportunity to work on their skiing skills.  The camp is 6 consecutive days, which creates a consistent training routine. [This additional upgrade is available for the Development Program, Big Mtn Freeride Program, & Freeskiing team.]

  • Christmas Camp Cost:  $230.00
  • Camp Dates:  December 26-30, 2012
  • Available for Development Program athletes

Red Lodge Summer Camp (Mogul Specific):  BSF Freestyle organizes and staffs a summer on-snow camp in the Absarokee Mountains outside of Red Lodge.  This training takes place at 11,000 feet and is 3 hours from Bozeman.  The camp includes Travel for the first 10 athletes, coaching, and training activities.  Camp is 6 days on snow.  The athletes will also work with coaches on goal setting, nutrition, sports psychology, and trampoline activities when we are not on the mountain. Athletes will purchase lift tickets daily from the mountain. Lodging packages and a meal plan are also available. This camp is open to everyone.   • Red Lodge Camp Cost: $570.00
  • Camp Dates: June 22-28, 2012
  • BSF Membership, Liability Release, and Medical release required
  • Beartooth Liability Release
  • USSA Membership recommended
  • Additional cost may include additional fees for lodging, coaching, meals and transportation depending on level of participation.

UOP Water Ramp Camp #1:  The water ramp camps are very important training tools. The training center is located in Park City, Utah and allows athletes to work on their jumping skills during the off-season.  Athletes travel down a synthetic surface, off a jump, and into a swimming pool equipped with air bubbles to soften the landing. Trampolines are available with bungee harnesses to ensure the safest possible training. Camp includes coaching, a video of your training, as well as all fees and licensing for the Utah Olympic Park.  This camp is open to everyone.   • UOP Water Ramp Camp Cost:  $720.00
  • Camp Dates:  July 16-22, 2012
  • BSF Membership, Liability Release, and Medical release required
  • USSA Membership Recommended
  • Additional costs may include additional fees for lodging, coaching, meals and transportation depending on level of participation.

Apex Pre-Season Camp (Mogul Specific):  This camp is geared toward the athlete who needs to be on snow for early competition or the athlete who wants to get a jump start on the season.  The camp takes place outside of Pendicton, BC, and we train along side several other high-level programs (including the Canadian National Team & the Japanese World Cup program).  Camp consists of 6 days on snow, as well as goal setting, nutrition, and sports psychology.   • Camp Dates:  November 27- December 3, 2012

Fall Trampoline Camp: BSF Freestyle has partnered with Lone Mountian Gymnastics to provide a fall trampoline camp.  This camp will work on trampoline work, the tumble track, as well as an obsticle course for some conditioning work.  This camp Starts the first Tuesday of  November  from 6:30-8:30 PM.  To participate you need to be a BSF Member with Waivers and liability releases signed.  Once this has been done you call Lone Mountain Gymnastics directly to sign up.
