2013/14 PROGRAMS Mount Hood Camp - The BSF Alpine Mount Hood Summer Ski Camp will take place July 9-18, 2013. Bozeman departure is scheduled for early on the morning of the 9th, with the group returning late on July 18th. Athletes will spend seven days on snow honing SL and GS technical and tactical skills. Summer Dryland Conditioning Alpine summer training is for U12 and older athletes (must be at least 10 years old by December 31, 2013 to participate).
Session 1 - June 24th - July 3rd, Weekdays, 10am - Noon Session 2 - July 22nd - Aug 23rd, Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 10am - Noon
U16 and Older - both sessions $400 U12 & U14 - Session 1: $150; Session 2: $250 (may register for one or both)

BSF Alpine programs are available for skiers of all ages and abilities!
Youth Ski League Team (YSLT) is an 8-week program designed for intermediate level skiers ages 6-early teen (U8-U16). YSLT improves skiing skills through an introduction to the fundamentals of ski racing. Athletes need to be competent lift riders and able to ski mid-mountain at Bridger Bowl. The program starts in early January.
BSF DEVELOPMENT TEAMS U10/U12 weekend team (formerly Jfast) is for the young athlete just beginning a racing career. This program is designed for advanced skiers who have previously participated in BSF YSL or a comparable program for at least one year. U10/U12 places its emphasis on developing race techniques by skiing difficult terrain and conditions and working on drills in and out of gates. Athletes can race at home races and travel to Northern Division races throughout Montana. Coaches will help determine appropriate events to attend based on where the athlete is currently at on the competition track. Athletes will receive an introduction to physical training (dryland training) in the fall and on-snow racing Programs start in early December. While the winter program is on weekends, the fall dryland training takes place primarily on weekday afternoons. U14 3-day team (formerly Devo) is for athletes who are driven to further their racing careers. This program provides physical training starting in the fall to help prevent injuries and to allow for optimum performance. On snow training, which begins as soon as resorts are open (early december), combines free skiing, drills, and gates. Technique (how to ski) and tactics (where to ski) are taught in tandem. Depending on age and ability, U10 - U14 athletes have the opportunity to compete in USSA Northern Division races held at Bridger Bowl and other ski areas located across Montana and Wyoming. YSL racers who are ready to move up to the next level will also be invited to compete in USSA races upon recommendation by the Alpine YSL Director. Program starts in early December. BSF COMPETITION TEAMS U16/U18/PG Teams are for athletes who have made a definite commitment to the sport. Athletes training on and off snow 5-6 days a week. Athletes in the competitive program are committed to exceling in skiing, physical training, and acedemics. From beginning racers to international level competitors, the BSF Alpine program provides training to help each individual improve and promotes a positive, quality sport experience.
